Traditional tutoring re-teaches a subject, such as math, reading, or history to the existing struggling brain. Tutoring simply attempts to re-teach material that should already have been learned but was not. Before investing in tutoring you should ask, “Why didn’t he learn this the first time it was presented?” Unless the answer is obvious (such as missing school for an extended period of time), tutoring will likely be a frustrating and expensive choice. Tutoring is only a temporary solution. The student never truly performs on his own. Many parents pay thousands of dollars year after year for tutoring. Kid Potential is radically different. We seek solutions with a different question: “How strong is his or her ability to learn?” If skills weakness is a root cause of your child’s learning struggle, tutoring simply cannot correct it. Kid Potential intends to strengthen and change the brain. After completing the PACE and Master the Code programs a student has a permanently improved ability to perform independently, at school…

Specialists in special education, clinical and cognitive psychology, occupational therapy, central auditory processing, visual processing, learning disabilities and memory research from a number of universities and professional clinics met to ask and answer one question: “How can we best help individuals experiencing learning difficulties so that they can learn easier and faster?” Led by Dr. Ken Gibson, a specialist in pediatric visual processing and his brother, Keith Gibson, Ph.D., a clinical psychologist, the symposium reviewed the existing research on brain and memory function, visual processing, and learning theory. For over 15 years, the two brothers had been gathering clinical experience with both children and adults. They had observed that some patients seemed to attend better and recall important facts more easily when they were given short but intense periods of training. They now asked the question, what kind of learning has the greatest impact in the shortest possible time? The Gibson…
Master The Code ProgramA Revolutionary Sound-Based Reading Program The following article will explain what sets Master The Code apart from all other reading programs and why we believe that the speed of learning to read and the quality of reading will be unmatched by any other reading system. Big claims, but we have already proven ourselves with the PACE (Processing And Cognitive Enhancement) program. Contents Introduction The Reading Crisis In America Three Reasons Why Many Never Learn To Read How Reading Should Be Taught Reading Programs That Get Results Master The Code Has Unique And Important Differences (If you are in a hurry look here first) Understanding and Solving the Reading Crisis in America Introduction Since the dawn of creation, man has communicated through spoken language. For most children, in fact, the ability to talk naturally develops without formal instruction. Reading and writing are completely different entities, however. A fundamental fact we must remember is that written language was developed in order to record our spoken language. Speech sounds are the foundation upon which the written code was formed. Speech sounds existed before written language and are audible, consistent, and in a sense “real”. They existed well before written language was developed and…
Cognitive Skills TrainingAre weak cognitive skills holding back your student? Science validates that the real cause of a person’s ability to learn is his or her cognitive skill’s strength or weakness. If skills are strong, learning comes easily and “naturally.” If skill weaknesses remain hidden, he or she will struggle to learn or read. If your child struggles to learn to read, you want answers. Some would suggest that you blame the school, the teachers, or the curriculum. Others would have you blame your child! (He’s not motivated. She just can’t understand.) STOP! Successful learning requires strong underlying skills. The majority of learning struggles are due to weakness in underlying skills. The good news? Skills can be strengthened.
